Owensboro Kentucky Restaurants

Owensboro is known as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States, and it often seems as if the world sees it that way. With the pride of Owensboro, Kentucky's Moonlite Barbecue, they are famous for their barbecue, but also for a variety of other things.

In addition to the International Bluegrass Music Museum, the region's contribution to the musical heritage will also be shown. This museum is a must-see, filled with video and oral history libraries documenting the pioneers of music in their own words.

Bill Monroe, the father of the genre, was born in nearby Rosine, so it's natural that the International Bluegrass Music Museum is located in Owensboro. They even have a violin by Pendleton Monroe (better known by fans as "Uncle Pen"), who taught Monroe to play.

Besides music, you can enjoy a wide range of food including barbecues, burgers, chicken wings and more. Owensboro's diverse park system includes 25 parks totaling 953 acres, providing more than 1,000 acres of outdoor recreation. Some have paragliders - such as swings that offer relaxing river views, and wide, ornamentally paved paths that wind through the city's many parks and recreational areas, such as Green River Park and Riverfront Park.

If you have a barbecue (or other choice), you can stay at one of the many barbecue spots in Owensboro, such as Barbeque Barbecues and BBQ Barbecue, or go barbecuing - non-barbecuing.

If you've never tasted the crispy fries starter with green beans, you don't know what you're missing. Quit your appetite for snacks with one of the classic chicken finger (s) hidden in a toast sandwich and topped with Zax Sauce (tm)! While you drink your kidz, you can also watch it in the kitchen or have a snack at the bar.

Nikos Italian cuisine is a restaurant you should not miss while staying at the Owensboro Inn. The elegant Italian restaurant serves a wide range of delicious Italian cuisine with a wide selection of dishes. You have an extensive menu that includes everything from pasta, pasta, sandwiches, salads and even a few specialties such as pizza.

Kale and red cabbage mixed, topped with grilled chicken, hard-boiled eggs, fried onions and Roma tomatoes. Choose from a wide range of dishes such as pasta, sandwiches, salads and even a few specialties. Try some of your favorites with a side of chicken and cheese or a salad of grilled chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers and garlic. Italian cheese, tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, olive oil, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, roasted garlic and fried onions with tomato sauce.

Plan to wear elastic pants because you will be so full when you leave Restaurant # 2 on this list. Dough fried mushroom pieces, ranch dip sauce and a side of hot sauce for the moment when your taste buds might need a wake-up call. You will want to take a nap, but plan to wear elastic bands on your pants, because at the end of the day you will probably So full when we leave that list!

Owensboro is always a good time, but it's even better if your trip goes well with the city hosting one of its events. If you are in Owensborough on a nice day, you can visit the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden for a few hours. Designed by the same people who developed the Kentucky version, it will be just as fascinating.

To stay authentic, the restaurant accepts cash only, but offers a thorough behind-the-scenes tour and tasting where you can see the new technology that brings Terressentia to Owensboro. It feels like something out of American graffiti and is a rustic souvenir shop where you can buy logos, shirts, caps and bourbons for bourbon yourself.

Owensboro has so many restaurants worth trying, I'll reduce them to three, but all are great. I also use it to see what's fun and which restaurants have the best food in town to make your holiday special.

If you're in Owensboro, you might want to try a slice of Pulled Pork with barbecue sauce, but I recommend the PullPork in this amazing sauce and its banana pudding. Of course, Fetta also has the traditional cheese and pepperoni, so those who like to spice things up will get them. Texas Roadhouse won't tell you the secret, but next time you're with them, order the steak.

There are, however, some wonderful restaurants in Owensboro, Kentucky, that are as good as the Moonlite Barbecue. Number 8 on my list is no surprise if you drop by for lunch to enjoy a great sandwich or soup.
